Summer’s here. Time for dancing in the streets. Or in the pubs. Wherever the spirit moves you. All you need is music.

Friday, July 9
Jamison Celtic Rock continues its residency at the Shore. You can see the band at North Shore Bar and Kitchen, 301-303 New York Avenue, in North Wildwood, starting at 6 p.m. $3 beers!
The fabulous McGroarys are at Hanrahan’s, 690 Burmont Road, in Drexel Hill. They’re starting at 9 p.m.
The River Drivers play a live online concert, starting at 9 p.m. Sponsored by the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, you can join in on Facebook right here. You can also check things out on YouTube here.
Sunday, July 11
It’s time to dig deep and support one of the worthiest causes we can think of—the Commodore John Barry Arts and Cultural Center—a/k/a, the Irish Center. The center hosts its summer fund-raiser starting at 4 p.m. at Tip O’Leary’s, 300 West Chester Pike, in Havertown. There will be a raffle for a glorious week in Wildwood. The drawing will be held at the event. Tickets available at https://theirishcenter.org/event-tickets/ or at the event. You can sit indoors or outdoors. There’ll be lots of raffle baskets, tunes and light food.
Looking Ahead
Maggie’s Boots—a terrific little traditional music ensemble—will perform at the Allen’s Lane train station, 7210 Cresheim Road, in the cozy, tree-lined Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, on Sunday, July 18. The show starts at 11:30 a.m.
On Wednesday, July 28, the Irish Diaspora Center, 1001 Darby Road in Havertown, hosts a Volunteer Open House from 7 to 9 p.m. Learn ways in which you can become involved in your Irish community. Also a great opportunity to check out the Irish Diaspora Center.
