Memorial Day Weekend is upon us, and it looks like one of the best places to be is at the Jersey shore. You’ll find music in a few other places, but the beach is the hot spot.
Friday, May 28
Starting at 7:30 p.m., Neil Mac Thiarnáin and Moira will perform at the Anglesea Pub, 116 West 1st Avenue in North Wildwood, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Jamison Celtic Rock appears at The Wharf, 708 West Burk Avenue in Wildwood, from 8 to 11 p.m.
Saturday, May 29
It’s worth getting up a little early to hear one of the best in the business—County Kerry singer Mary Courtney, appearing on Facebook Live for the East Durham Irish Festival, presented by Irish Music Magazine. Her set begins at 9:39 a.m. All details here.
Jamison rolls into The Inlet, 101 East Walnut Avenue in North Wildwood, from 4 to 7 p.m.
The John Byrne Band had a really special show lined up … a rooftop concert at the Kennett Square Parking Garage at 100 East Linden Street. It will be rescheduled until August due to the weather. Hold on to your tickets.
Sunday, May 30
Several Delaware County Ancient Order of Hibernian divisions will host a Memorial Mass for Irish War Heroes at the Chapel of the Four Chaplains, Philadelphia Navy Yard, starting at 12 noon. Hosting the event are Dennis Kelly Division 1, Black Jack Kehoe Division 4 and Sons of Ireland Division 17. The mass honors all those of Irish descent who died in any conflict, in any branch of the armed services.
Starting at 2 p.m., singer-guitarist Seamus Kelleher takes the stage at the Dubliner in New Hope. It’s a jam session, so Seamus says to bring your instruments.
Another Jamison performance down the shore, right on the beach front, this time at Seaport Pier, 2201 Boardwalk, North Wildwood, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Monday, May 31
Singer Raymond Coleman is on tap at Tacos & Tequila, 201 Olde New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, June 2
Ray Coleman is back at Tacos & Tequila, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
