Watch the talented and hilarious Seamus Kennedy live on Facebook, starting at 7 p.m. It’s all part of the Celtic Festival Online. You can catch his act here: https://www.facebook.com/celticfestivalonline. Seamus never fails to entertain. He’s a font of tunes, stories and outright groaners.
If you’re hankering for live music, head on down to the shore—specifically, Seaport Pier, for Philly’s rockin’ band, Jamison Celtic Rock. Seaport Pier is at 2201 Boardwalk North in Wildwood. The show starts at 8 p.m.
Saturday, August 29
Singer-songwriter John Byrne returns to Facebook for another installment of Quarantunes, starting at 7 p.m. You’ll find him on the John Byrne Band fan page: https://www.facebook.com/John-Byrne-Band-136852154178
As always, tips are most appreciated. Facebook live concerts have helped many of our local musicians hold body and soul together during the pandemic, so show your appreciation by giving whatever you can.

Help out the Cummins Irish Dance School by ordering meals for delivery or pickup at Jerzee’s, 2609 Mount Carmel Avenue in Glenside. The promotion runs from 5 to 9 p.m. Mention the Cummins School when you place your order, and they’ll get a cut of the proceeds.
Coming Up Soon
Be sure to remember the Philadelphia Ceili Group Virtual Festival. No pandemic will stop them. The festival takes place September 10, 11 and 12, starting at 8 p.m. If you’ve ever taken in the Ceili Group Festival live at the Irish Center, you’ll find many of the same great features on the festival: workshops, lectures and crafts, plus a concert featuring some of Irish traditional music’s biggest stars, including Mick Moloney, Athena Tergis, Billy McComiskey, Tim Britton, and more.
