It’s “Tara Gael Night with the Hooligans” at St. Dominic’s Marian Hall, 8532 Frankford Avenue in Philly.
Join the Tara Gael Dancers as they host a fun-filled night with great music, starting at 7 p.m. The event is a benefit for the Tara Gael Dancers to help them go dancing in the streets in the 2020 Philadelphia St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Tickets are $35 per person, including beer, wine, soda and buffet. BYOB for additional drinks.

Sunday, November 24
Get an early start on your Thanksgiving celebrations with Turkey Bowling at Thunderbird Lane, 1475 West Street Road in Warminster, starting at 3 p.m.
This is the Glenside Gaelic Club’s first-ever Turkey Bowl fund-raiser. Cost is $20 per person. The price includes shoe rental, two hours of bowling, a pizza and one pitcher of soda per lane.

Monday, November 25
Check out a Philly screening and discussion of “The Troubles with Brexit” at Perelman Center for Political Science & Economics, Lower Level Auditorium, 133 South 36th Street in Philadelphia.
The Good Friday Agreement ushered in a period of relative peace and stability, but Brexit, with its unintended consequences, now threatens to reignite sectarian violence. The film explores the social, political, and economic impact of Brexit on Northern Ireland.
A conversation will follow the screening, featuring:
- Brendan O’Leary, Lauder Professor of Political Science, University of Pennsylvania
- Siobhán Lyons, Executive Director, Citizen Diplomacy International
- Anthony Silberfeld (moderator), Director of Transatlantic Relations, Bertelsmann Foundation
Doors open at 6 p.m. The film begins at 6:30 p.m.
Friday, November 29
The Whistlin’ Donkeys (not actual livestock, but human musicians) appear at the Commodore John Barry Arts & Cultural Center (the Irish Center), 6815 Emlen Street in Mount Airy, starting at 7 p.m.
Seriously, the Donkeys are one of Ireland’s top bands, and their Irish Center appearance marks their Philadelphia debut at the start of their U.S. tour. By all means, go.
